I believe that there is much more to what we call “Reality” than we usually perceive, 
and that we sometimes catch glimpses of or feel a connection to these other layers of being.  
We have some words to attempt to describe these things: Paranormal, Mystical, Magic, Miracle, 
Extraterrestrial, Psychedelic. 
 
I am intrigued by this unknown and the mystery of its relationship to what we clearly perceive 
and think we understand.  
 
Using a blend of sensory information and intuition I cull materials form the world around me to 
transform into talismans that span the gap between realities.  Layers of images superimposed on one another, 
masks, mirror images, carefully juxtaposed colors, simulacra, and optically dynamic patterning all combine 
to create a sense of shifting perspective.
 
Most of my artwork is created using salvaged materials.  Transforming objects that might be defined 
by most people as junk or trash into art is a kind of creative alchemy that parallels the nature of 
the subject.  
 
Nothing is ever really finished.
